Amigos
Quality of food:
Not surprising that another “Mexican” restaurant does not meet my expectations. My burrito was not tasty enough and the presentation of the plate found me astonished with a Greek salad accompanying my buritto!!!
On the positive side, they brought us complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning and some more when we asked them to.
Service:
The hostess was smiley and polite. What bothered me is that I am a Greek native speaker and my partner is an English native speaker and we couldn’t really talk to the waitress, who spoke some Greek and some English. This is very annoying, since it took us about 2 minutes to help her understand that we wanted the Queso cheese as a starter.
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere is OK. It is decorated to look like a Mexican restaurant but the fact that it is connected to the café ruins the attempt a bit, since you have a full view of the café people. On the plus side, was the fact that the restaurant was empty, so it was quite and smokeless for us.
Prices:
Expensive. I am sorry but if I have to pay 8 Euro for a plate of quacamole then that is expensive. So were the burritos, so were the fajitas. To be fair however, this is not at Amigos but pretty much at any Mexican restaurant in Cyprus.
146 Music Tavern
Quality of food:
The food is good. There was nothing that differentiates it from other taverns regarding food.
Service:
Going into such a place you are definitely not looking for service. It was good however. The lady was very friendly and polite.
Atmosphere:
If you like quality Greek live music then this is your place. Personally I am not a big fan, but you can easily get carried away when in such a place.
Prices:
The price per person for meze was about 20 Euro which is very reasonable. We were also charged 60 Euro for a ½ bottle of Jack Daniels, 40 Euro for 2 bottles of local white wine and 17 Euro for a 1/8 bottle of zivania. I found those prices a little high, but I guess you are paying for the music when you are there.

Aztecas Mexican restaurant Nicosia
Quality of food: I had the Beef fajitas which I found to be excellent. The quantity was enough (even for me) and the beef was very tasty. Accompanied with pico de gallo, cheese, quacamole and hot sauce.
My partner had a beef buritto which I tried but did not like at all. I was actually disappointed because I was thinking of ordering that. Glad I went with the fajitas.
We also had the Queso cheese for starter. Having been in authentic Mexican restaurants before, I have to say that this is nothing close to Queso cheese.
Service: The service was really good. The waiters/ waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, since they were not many customers at the restaurant at the time, I felt that they were watching and talking about us all the time. Left me with a bad impression.
Value for money: Like any other Mexican restaurant in Cyprus, this one is expensive too. 37 Euros for the Queso cheese, 2 meals and one bottle of water is too much! Also, in a lot of Mexican restaurants you get complimentary tortilla chips at the beginning. Not here...
We did however get a complimentary strawberry margharita which was really good.
Atmosphere: Nice decoration and atmosphere in the restaurant
Brewery Nicosia
Quality of food: The food is good but not excellent. I have had the Brewery Platter (sausages, kebabs etc), the pork chop and the western burger. They were tasty but not something that you cannot find anywhere else.
Service: Brewery has excellent service. The waiters/ waitresses are usually smiley and ready to help. Never had any problem whenever I went there.
Atmosphere: I like the atmosphere and the decor in the pub.
Value for money: The prices are a little bit more expensive than normal. For example Petritis wine is sold for 22 Euro where everywhere else it is about 15-17 Euro. Prices for some meals are expensive and for some others cheaper. In general though, I would say it is an expensive pub.
Tip: Try the wheat beer of Brewery
In general, I would recommend this place for a relaxing drinking night

Casa Vieja
Service: Pretty good service. The waiters/ waitresses were polite and were smiling. There were only a few tables so I am not sure if this changes when the restaurant is full.
Quality of food: We ordered tapas which were pretty good. Since I have never been in Spain, I unfortunately cannot compare it to the real thing. One of the tapas that impressed me were the chorizos in the white wine. The meat and fish paella were also excellent.,
Value for money: It was about 25 Euros per person with enough sangria to drink. This price is expected in such restaurants in Nicosia.
Atmosphere: Pretty nice atmosphere with the restaurant broken up in small rooms..
Speed of service: Good speed of service.
Casa Vieja is located in the heart of old Nicosia.

CoCo Lounge
This lounge/ bar is located in the Emporiki Stoa in Nicosia.
Service: Not impressed by the service. There were only two waitresses for about 15 tables, which made it hard for them to keep up with…just taking our orders. The combination of having a bar with people ordering drinks all the time with making cocktails does not work. It took them about 15 minutes to serve our cocktails with the usual excuse that the barmen can't keep up making mixed drinks and cocktails.
Quality of drinks: I had three mojitos. There were in big glasses which made me happy. The first and the third were tasty and I liked them, the second one I think they forgot the sugar..Again, I think this is what happens when you have only two barmen for who knows how many people.
Value for money: Cocktails were priced at 9 Euros which is about the usual in Nicosia.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere is pretty nice. It is a nice decorated place and the people hanging there were nice. I liked the fact that it was not too packed and that there was a lot of space between tables.

Seven Lounge Bar – 19/10/09
Service: The service is pretty good there. The waiters need a little bit more training in terms of knowing the things in the menu, but at least they are polite and smile. If you find them in a good day, they will joke with you too.
Quality of food: I ordered the Bufallo Burger which was excellent. Very tasty burger, makes it one of the best I had in Cyprus. The greens accompanying it were also fresh and tasty. My partner also ordered a burger which I did not try but she claimed that it was good. The skino mojito I had was also very good but there was too much ice in it.
Quantity of food: The quantity of food was satisfactory for both meals. The mojito however comes in a small glass which is full of ice. Even though the decoration is nice, I doubt if there is much of a drink in that glass.
Value for money: The burgers definitely worth their money. I think it was about 9.50 Euro for the Swiss Burger and 11.50 Euro for the Bufallo Burger. The mojito I ordered was more expensive than the Swiss Burger at 9.60 Euros which was an unpleasant surprise
Atmosphere: I love the fact that the music is not extremely loud. You can enjoy the music, while being able to talk to the people on your table without having to shout. I guess that is what we mean by Lounge which is usually misunderstood in Cyprus. The décor and the atmosphere is nice in general..
Speed of service: This is variable. It took them some time to bring the bottle of water we ordered, but the food came pretty fast. A few other requests we had were taken care of quickly.
TGI Friday's Downtown - 21/10/09
The waitress claimed that she could not use my card as credit which was kind of weird for me. I am not sure if she was right or not.
Quality of food: My bufallo wings were a little overcooked which made them more crispy than they should. I did not have enough blue cheese sauce. My partner ordered the baby back ribs which were pretty good but the barbeque sauce was not. The mashed potatoes that came with it had a yellowish colour and not a good taste. The water was not cold.
Quantity of food: The quantity of food was satisfactory for both meals,
Value for money: We paid 28 Euros for the two meals and a bottle of water. Pretty expensive for a TGI Friday's meal I believe.
Atmosphere: The usual TGI's atmosphere which I personally like. Not too many customers at the moment made it even better. Not too loud, not extremely quiet.
Speed of service: Good speed of service, but again we were one of few tables.
